IGNE Publishing / Editorial Standards
Editorial Standards
These rules apply to every site in the IGNE Publishing network. Individual sites may add stricter ones.
Who writes the content
Each site is written and reviewed by its own editorial team, named after the site. We do not publish under invented personal bios, and we do not claim credentials we do not hold. Where a topic needs a licensed professional, we say so and send you to one.
Sourcing
- Rules, limits and dates come from primary sources: the IRS, CMS, the Social Security Administration, state agencies and the law itself.
- Numbers that change each year are checked against the current-year source before they go live.
- When something is an estimate or a judgment call, the page says so instead of presenting it as fact.
Updates and corrections
Pages show when they were last updated. When a rule changes, the page is updated and the date changes with it. If you find an error, tell us through the contact page and we will check it against the source and fix it.
How we make money
Our sites earn from advertising, affiliate links, our own digital products and consulting. Affiliate commissions and ads never decide what a page says or which option comes out ahead. Each site has its own disclosure page that names how it earns.
What this content is not
It is general education. It is not legal, tax, medical or financial advice, and it cannot account for your full situation. Confirm important decisions with a qualified professional or the agency involved.
